Located a 5 hour drive from the city of Bangalore, Chikmagalur is a place full of natural beauty and scenic wonders. Trekking is a major highlight here, with a trek to Mullain Giri being a favorite of travelers. Mullain Giri is the highest peak of Karnataka, with a height of more than 6000 feet above sea level. Trekking to the top of it will be a different kind of thrill for you, a thrill you will savor for long.

Bandipur National Park

If you like to explore some exotic wildlife, the Bandipur National Park is the camping ground for you. It is one of the most popular wildlife reserves of India, established way back in 1931. The thrill of spotting hordes of elephants, sloth bear, mouse deer, tiger and other exciting animals in their natural habitat will definitely get you excited to the core. The Wayanad Sanctuary and Madumalai Sanctuary lie adjacent to Bandipur National Park, giving you easy access to more wildlife and varied flora in the region.



A small town located in Chikmagalur, Kudremukh is known for its proximity to a mountain range by the same name. A part of the Western Ghats, it is known for lush grasslands, rolling hills and shoal forests. It is a bio-diversity hotspot, recognized as one of the top 25 hotspots of the world.



Also called the “Kashmir of the South”, it is one of the best hill stations of Karnataka. Located at a height of 3500 feet above sea level, it is full of dense teak forests, lush valleys, coffee plantations and some challenging trekking trails as well, such as those of Brahmagiri and Pushpagiri peaks.



Located merely 125 km from the city of Bangalore, it is egg shaped island, well known for Ranganathaswamy Temple. The island is nestled amidst river Kaveri, which is well known for its exhilarating rapids that are perfect for white water rafting.


Jog Falls

If you are ready to tread a little farther away from the city, a trip to Jog Falls is the perfect excuse to forget about meetings and deadlines. Located about a 7 hour drive from the city of Bangalore, it is highest waterfall of India, with scenic landscapes surrounding it. The best time to visit Jog Falls is during the monsoon season, when the waterfall is in its full splendor. The nearest town of Sagar has some interesting resorts to stay as well.
