Tabetai Sushi Restaurant, Cartagena, Colombia, sounds crazy, but is really special

If you love sushi, you will NOT be disappointed with Tabetai Sushi in Cartagena, Colombia. I know what you're thinking..."sushi in Colombia??" Yea, I said it.

The co-owner of this restaurant, Edgar, is from Venezuela and is extremely nice, often making new customers a drink or roll on the house. The rest of the staff are also super friendly and make you feel comfortable as soon as you walk through the door.

Although it's a small restaurant (5 tables for 4 and a small bar), I can see this place taking off soon.

I've tried several of their rolls (I'm now a regular of this restaurant), but I recommend purchasing the 20 or 30 piece Chef's choice. Every roll i've had has been incredible. Tabetai blends flavors from the Caribbean with traditional Japanese sushi that will leave you craving more.

They even have Temaki Sushi filled with ceviche! Most Colombians i know reach for the Temaki since that's what they recognize, but I vouch for all of their rolls! A few rolls even have a piece plátano on top! Yummmm!!!

Don't miss out on this gem of a restaurant. They're located in the San Diego neighborhood in Cartagena (within the walled city).

They only opened over the summer, but they're bound to grow in popularity!
