Sidreria el Molinon (near El Mercado Central) is not your usual tapas bar.
This is not a place that serves the regular tapas that you find on every menu in Spain.
It distinguishes itself by serving tapas such as brain croquettes, tongue stew and bull cured meat.
It also has the cured meat platters, the patata bravas (the best I've had) but most of its products are fresh and sourced from the province of Asturias in North Western Spain.
The bar also offers several seafood tapas to die for.
The dessert menu showcases specialities from Asterias and unlike some tapas bars here all is freshly prepared and not pulled out of the freezer.
Prices are comparable to those of other tapas bars around Valencia (€ 20 - 25 per person). The athmosphere is not as vibrant as one would have wanted, but it is also not 'dead'.
Portions are generous so make sure you "don't eat with your eyes"!
