Nainital is a beautiful hill town located in the state of Uttarakhand.

Situated at an elevation of 2084 m, this quiet valley is known for beautiful lakes, colonial style buildings and picturesque views of the surrounding mountains. It is one of the most visited hill stations in North India and is a popular weekend destination from large cities like Delhi. Hiring a Delhi-to-Nainital cab is the safest and most convenient mode of travel.

It is an ideal place for families to have a fun vacation and also a perfect honeymoon destination for young couples.

We have compiled some of the top attractions of Nainital, which should be included in every travel itinerary:

Cable Car Ride:

On a clear day, take the cable car to Snow View and enjoy the scenic views of the breathtaking Himalayan ranges including the panoramic Nanda Devi peak. The ride also offers lovely views of the city center and the lake. There are lots of souvenir and food stalls in the vicinity where you can relax and have fun with your family.

The Flatts

This is a large area of flat ground that was flattened by a landslide in 1880. It is a place for recreational activities, sporting events and fairs. It has Naina Devi temple on one end and there is also a mosque and a Gurudwara nearby. There is a roller-skating rink inside the premises. Don't miss out on ‘chaat bazar’ for mouth watering street food.

Dorothy’s Seat

This is a popular picnic spot and trekking route. Also called Tiffin Top, Dorothy's Seat is situated at an elevation of 2292 meters and offers splendid views of Khurpa Tal. The trekking route is enjoyable with views of pine forests and green meadows. Pony rides are also available for people who don’t like to trek.

Echo Cave Garden

This is an interesting garden that is not to be missed, especially if you are traveling with kids. It consists of underground caves that represent the habitats of different animals and have been named in the same manner. It's a fun place for kids where they get to learn as well.  The caves are lit with lamps and you will have to crawl through some of the caves, the Bat cave being the most difficult.

Gurney House

This is located about 3 km away from the city center and is a place where the famous wildlife conservationist Jim Corbett used to stay. You can see some of his personal belongings and trophies in the house that remind us of the colonial style of buildings.

Nainital Zoo

This high altitude zoo is home to many diverse and rare animal species like the Tibetan wolf and Himalayan black bear. It is located about 2 km from the Bus Stand. You can either trek to the zoo or take a shared jeep. The walk around the zoo is refreshing with the opportunity to see various types of flora and fauna.

Mall Road

This is the liveliest road in Nainital and has a lake on one side and the city center on the other. You can enjoy a light walk in the evenings as vehicular traffic is not allowed between 6 pm to 10 pm.

If you are planning to visit Nainital from Delhi, you can book Delhi to Nainital taxi through Savaari, a reliable service provider of cabs in Delhi.
