Looking for a quick snack in London?
Head over to Mooli’s on Firth Street for a unique concept of Indian dining that will get your taste buds dancing with joy.
Never ask for a blasphemous wrap - its a Mooli!
In the words of the creators, a mooli combines 'warm flavoursome fillings, zesty salsas, vibrant chutneys & crunchy salad all rolled in a homemade roti.'
There are six kinds of mooli on offer - goat, pork, chicken, beef, paneer and chickpea at around £5.00 each. They come as quite sizeable portions, so a healthy appetite is a must!
The paneer is spectacular- freshly grated carrot with the chefs special tomato chutney gives it sweetness and spice. A firm favourite however is the goat, cumin potatoes and salsa. There are a very few times when I am impressed by fast food but this is something that is worth the visit. If you have nothing else on the menu - have the Punjabi Goat!
For a quick bite have a mini Mooli and coconut and lime lassi - perfect combinations. I remember trying this on their second birthday and knew instantly it would be a hit!
For dessert, Kulfi is on the menu at £2.50. Choose between mango, pistachio and malai (creamy vanilla type flavour).
Of course, none of this would be possible without one of the most impressive ingredients which is the bread, cooked on the premises by the one they call Moolita - it’s a machine not a person!
From mojitos to beer to a fresh lassi - there is a brilliant and palatable combination of drinks on offer that can accompany your choice of Mooli.
Located in Soho, it is a worthy addition to London’s ever growing fast food scene. Expansion plans are progressing and we hope to see many more Mooli’s popping up soon!
Around £7.00 for a two course meal. Lunch for a fiver! Pretty good value for money and definitely more filling than Pr....! Shh! Can’t say that here.
