There are many amazing destinations in Vietnam, but here I've narrowed the list down to my top five favorites.

Favorite destinations in Vietnam

1. Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam

Phu Quoc is recognized as one of the hotest destinations in Vietnam. Lately, it's also not been packed with tourists. To admire the the stunning beauty of Phu Quoc, tourists can hire a motorbike to get around. The famous travel website, Huffingtonpost, emphasizes that you should “Quickly come here to enjoy the happy life before other people find out your secret.”

2. Mui Ne Dune, Vietnam

Mui Ne dune (or sand dune) covers a large area with plenty of trees. The main destination of the dune, which is regarded as the most beautiful, is located on the road to Mui Ne and opposite to Tien spring.

3. Cu Chi Tunnels

Constructed in 1948, Cu Chi tunnel was used as a tool in the two fierce wars against French colonists and American Empire in Vietnam. With a length of up to 120 kilometers, this tunnel was one of most important military bases during the war. Coming to this historical site, tourists will get more knowledge of the miserable life of the Vietnamese soldiers in the underground tunnels. It will take tourists about one hour to move from Ho Chi Minh city centre to Cu Chi tunnel.

4. Mekong Delta

Mekong Delta tour is highly appreciated by quite a few tourists. Coming here, tourists not only visit immense fruit gardens, enjoy Don ca tai tu music (a typical kind of art in the Southwest Vietnam) and local specialities but also take part in floating markets which are only found in this region.

Different from artificial floating markets in Thailand, which are mainly aimed at serving tourists; floating markets in Mekong Delta are established to meet the need for business and goods exchange of local people for a long time.

5. Sapa, Vietnam

Sapa is a popular vacation spot in Lao Cai province, Vietnam. This place contains a host of miracles of nature, beautiful landscapes with green forests and mountainous terrain, creating a striking picture of harmonious combinations in the Northwest Vietnam.
