I don’t know about you, but I don’t like that kind of bars where the most commercial music is played or which could be wherever in the world without any kind of personality or special charm.
This is why, wherever I go, I like to be informed about the best bars in town, the authentic places where locals go.
And luckily for you, I recently visited Berlin, so, pay attention:
In the middle of the trendy Kreuzberg district, this bar totally fascinated me. Good music, good atmosphere, nice waiters and nice prices. Carefully casual decorated, it gets full of casually cool people.
Skalitzerstr, 46a. Underground: U1 Görlitzer Bahnhof.
It may go unnoticed as it is located between a famous Viennese restaurant and the well-know café Einstein, but charm is often located at discreet places. It’s small but with a lot of personality; divided into several rooms, all of them are cute, you just need to discover which one fits your moment better. Cocktails are well served by charismatic waiters, so just drop in while your stay in one of the Berlin apartments.
Kurfuerstenstrasse, 58. Underground: U1, U2, U3, U4 Noliendorfplatz.
Probably one of the most special bars in Berlin. It is not small, but tiny. Don’t be surprised if when entering you can just see a table, some bar stools and a small bar. Cocktails are served old-style by an old-style bar tender. Fantastic.
Fasanenstrasse, 40. Underground: U3, U9 Spinchernstrasse
Buck and Breck
The peculiarity of this bar is that it doesn’t look like a bar, you’d rather say that it’s an art gallery or a super modern design shop. It has minimalist decoration in black. It’s kind of select and exquisite ok, and tiny, no more than 15 people are allowed, so booking is recommended.
Brunnenstrasse, 177. Underground: U8 Rosenthaler Platz.
