In 2009 I had the great pleasure of going on in a tour for the first time to Ghor Al-Mazra’a , a striking area 26 kilometers from the city of Karak.
Ever since I kept a very tiny journal of all engagements and interests l had in this area and the Zikra program. I never ended up getting around turning my silly writings into a blog, and never intended to, but it was only a few days ago that I rediscovered the journal after having completely forgotten about it.
Reading through my entries brought back extraordinary recollections; so I’ll dedicate the next weeks to typing out captivating memories we had at the Zikra Initiative. I’ll also blog about our occurrences regularly.
I’ll detail the interesting, unique and often humorous activities, sights, people & emotions we experience instead of focus on facts and particulars about the area or the history of it.
I wish for this blog entry to not only inspire you to want to discover what’s behind the fine shores of the Dead Sea, but to also bring to mind the fact that the Dead Sea heartland holds a glorious, vibrant & warm community to explore.
I hope you enjoy reading this post. Feel free to leave a comment at the end if you do like it – it will take me ages to compile and I’d love to hear your thoughts!
