Have you been to Cape Town already?
If not, add it to your to-do list!
How can I say that before this trip?
I was already there... a few years ago! At that time a friend of mine and I focused mainly on surfing and kite boarding. Sure, we also drove around a bit and went to Cape Point, to the long and beautiful beach of Muizenberg and we went a long drive North to Langebaan.
I'm ashamed to share this now!
I haven't been on the Table Mountain yet and we somehow missed the penguins in Simon's Town.
So there is still much to do and to see in Cape Town, even if you have been there before!
Have you been to Cape Town or maybe even live there?
What would you recommend me to do and to see? Please share it as a comment beneath!
We, @VelvetEscape, @WildJunket, @LandLopers & of course @Traveldudes will be sharing our experiences 'live' with you! All you need to do is to follow #LoveCapeTown on Twitter!
We already have a very exciting itinerary (28th July - 6th of August), but if you have some extra good tips for us, we are happy to go for them!
What's up so far?
We will hike up Platteklip Gorge, having a wine tour of Steenberg and Constantia, enjoy the Design Route and visit the Swing club for some good Jazz. We'll definitely also go to Cape Point via the Chapman's Peak, see the Cape Cuisine Route, but als learn about the Sex and Slave Route.
Seems there are many 'Routes' for us to explore!
But we'll also have some adventurous stuff!
How does cage diving for sharks sound? @VelvetEscape is not so sure yet, if he should go for it! Tweet him & let him know that I need support on this! ;-)
I'm really looking forwar to this:
We will also go for some paragliding off Lions Head! Keep your fingers crossed, so that the weather plays along!
Cape Town is also very popular for cyclists, so we'll do a cycling tour as well. Afterwards we'll strengthen ourselves again at Hout Bay's harbour market.
Puuuh! Is that all? No!
The highlight of our trip will be the Getaway Bloggers Conference on the 4th of August! Keith, Nellie, Matt & I are really looking forward to meet fellow travel bloggers and to share our experiences, have some good discussions and talk about the success of social media and travel blogging.
Some more fun!
Join our #LoveCapeTown chat on Sunday, 29th July starting at 7pm (WAT/CET) lasting for one hour!
So stay tuned and updated!
Thanks Cape Town tourism for inviting Traveldudes. All our opinions are of course our own!
