When planning a vacation to Mexico, the "usual suspects" probably come to mind: Cancun, Cabo San Lucas, Cozumel, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico City, or Playa del Carmen.  
The end. We interpret prophecy; we predict raptures and Armageddon; we plaster our doomsday forecast on T.V. and in papers across the globe--and wait.  
This sacred cenote at Chichen-Itza in the Riviera Mexico was used for Maya sacrifices. The remains of more than 100 young Mayans were discovered at the bottom.

It was two months ago that I discovered cenotes. I was invited to a nature park in the heart of the Riviera Maya to swim in one.
