El Valle Sagrado, or “The Sacred Valley” in Peru sits between Cusco and Machu Picchu and stretches some 60 miles (100km) from Pisac in the east through to Machu Picchu in the west.
Cuzco (also "Cusco", or "Qosqo" in Quechua), located in the Southern Sierras is a fascinating city that was the capital of the Incan Empire.
