Salepi tea in Monastariki Square, Athens

Salepi tea in Monastariki Square, Athens

We saw this old, Greek man working in Monastariki Square every day that we were in Athens.

We bought some Salepi tea from his extravagant, shiny pot.

Salepi is made of flour from grinding the dried tubers of the orchid. It's popular on the streets of Greece as a hot beverage in the cold, winter months.

It was different but good!
