This is the Queen's Theatre stage door in London.
The front of the theatre is on the famous Shaftesbury Avenue which runs between Holborn and Piccadilly Circus but the stage door opens out in infamous Soho.
Now-a-days a peek round the back is popular with autograph hunters but I wonder how many theatregoers dared to leave the safety of Shaftesbury Avenue to venture through the dard allys of Soho back when the theatre was built - I bet they had fun if they did: you know what they say about actors! ;-)
Today the theatre is home to Les Miserables which has just been made into a film. The film has just been nominated for several BAFTAS, including best Actor for Hugh Jackman, so it should be good.
BTW the stage door is not normally so colourful, so mind you don't miss it if you do decide to go back!
