If you happen to be in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy, and you stop off in Rimini, it's worth taking the time to walk to the marina.
Not only will you see rows upon rows of boats but a ferris wheel, which is apparently the biggest in Europe.
It really is a spectacular view, with the clear blue sky and the reflection of the wheel in the calm blue sea.
It's less than 2kms from the city centre to the marina so you can easily get there on foot. While you are there, you can stroll around admiring the boats, watch people fishing, and stay to see the sun setting. If you're a little peckish, there is a restaurant called Molo 22 with tantalising dishes.
