House of The King of the Jopu village close to the volcan Mount Kelimutu in Indonesia

Moni is a small settlement at the foot of the volcanic Mount Kelimutu. It is a good base for a trip to the coloured lakes of the volcano.

Jopu village is one of the most attractive to see in the area of Moni. You can see the process ikat weaving (tenun ikat) making.

This is the leader's house (ketua adat). Only his oldest son may stay here for about 2 or 3 months after he gets married. No electricity here, they use lantern.
