Crater Lake is seriously something I think everyone should see and like many of nature's wonders, pictures do not do it justice.
Still, I tried to convey how vast, beautiful and blue this lake truly is.
The crater was formed by volcanic activity and the lake is the result of snow melt. Due to the cliffs surrounding it, the lake is fairly isolated and free from pollutants. In addition, it's rocky bottom helps add to the lake's clarity. It really is remarkable. You can hike down to the lake and jump in if you are feeling brave.
Warning though - the water's cold!
