Ancon Hill is a 654-foot hill overlooking Panama City. The view of Panama City below from Ancon Hill is breath-taking.
You can climb to the top of the hill or take a taxi up (if driving, you will be forced to wait your turn until the last driver comes down - there is only one winding road up the hill).
Ancon was under US jurisdiction when the USA ran the Panama Canal. As a result, this area remains largely undeveloped compared to the rest of Panama City. Abandoned buildings and hydro towers where the US army was stationed make for an interesting visit in addition to the breath-taking view.
