Synchronize!

Hi there!

Today, we have added two new features to Traveldudes.org.

The first one is a better synchronization with your Twitter account.

Add your tweets to your personal Traveldudes page!
(Example)

Add your Twitter name to the "tweet social button" of your posts (like: via @your_twitter_name)!
(Example - use the tweet button)

Login and go to "your account setting", by clicking on the menu item in the user menu on top of each page.

On your profile settings page select the tab "Twitter" and click on the Button "Add account". You will get redirected to Twitter, asking you if you trust Traveldudes.

From all things listed, we will only read/add tweets from your profile timeline. We may add a feature to post tweets directly from Traveldudes in the future, but it will be up to you, if you want to use it.

So if you trust us (I hope you are), click on the blue "Authorize App" Button and Twitter will redirect you back to your Traveldudes account setting page. You can delete this synchronization at any time by selecting the delete checkbox and press the "Save changes" button. This will also delete all of your tweets from Traveldudes.org.

BTW: We only keep your tweets for 12 weeks. Older tweets will be deleted automatically from our site. There will be no changes to your account on Twitter.com nor to your Tweets at any time!

You can also add more than one twitter account, but normally you will have only one account.

As soon as you have finished this authorization process, you Tweets will be available on your Traveldudes profile page. The last three Tweets on your "About" page on the right side and the tweets from the last 3 months under a new profile tab called "Twitter".

The second new feature is not new at all.

We improved the country navigation list on the left side on each entry and also on the country overview pages (e.g. Germany). As you can see,  we did split the navigation in two blocks. The first one shows the current country and the second block the continent.

We hope that makes it easier to navigate through the site.
