Bad knees could be a problem!

Melvin, I myself have very bad knees. While I have no problem sitting on a western-style toilet, since it is basically a chair, I don't think I could squat to do my business....

And if I did manage the squat, I'm not sure I could stand back up! :)

Perhaps, though, people who are raised with squat toilets have an easier time since they have been doing this all their lives. Perhaps they've kept their knees more limber!

One question, though. What about people who are unable to squat due to physical handicap or infirmities due to age? Is there another process to use?
