YangShuo: Morning Sun Hotel
A modern hotel in a traditional package with very friendly staff. The location is great for those who do not want to try to sleep right above West Street, but don't like to walk long from its bars and restaurants either: On a street directly off West Street, close by the central lake of YangShuo.
The hotel rooms are modern and clean, and especially the bathrooms are fantastic. Singles might be a bit poky, though. If you can afford it go for a double. Tripples are also available, making it a good deal if you can share costs. Balconies are a nice treat if you stay longer (and you want to do so in YangShuo!) and want a relaxing place to write your postcards and have a last beer and/or cigarette before falling into the comfy beds. As it is a side street it will not get noisy. And a number of good breakfast locations are just around the corner (turn right twice).
Prices are reasonable outside China holidays.
Receptionists speak English well and help you with whatever you need: Tour tips, bikes, airport taxi, tickets for evening events, air & train tickets. All tickets as usual via an external travel agency, but they are delivered to the hotel.
