Nice Restaurants of Camps Bay, Cape Town, South Africa
There has been a sudden scurry of new restaurants opening in Camps Bay.
Camps Bay is our “Miami area” in Cape Town. It boasts a wonderful long beach with palm trees and a row of bars and restaurants that overlook it. This is the best spot to watch the sun setting accompanied by sundowner drinks.
As it is so gorgeous, one simply does not mind the fact that there are very few gourmet gems on the strip. Four new restaurants have opened on the stretch! The new restaurants all boast glamorous interiors and good ocean views.
They are:
• The Grand – a couple of friends have reported having excellent meals there – they also suggested it was best done on account as a business lunch as it is a little pricey. It boasts a great setting right on the ocean and so, may be worth paying a little extra!
• Cove – Edging into the realm of fine dining – recent Irish visitors returned there 3 times for dinner
• Bungalow – just slightly more chilled out than Cove. Both are wonderful places to relax, enjoy lounge music, sip cocktails and watch the world go by. Cove and Bungalow have the same owner – so hence quite a similar formula that seems to be working well
