New England - The Endless Beauty of a Slumbering Autumn

According to me , the Americans and all the trip and travel blogs a road trip in the U.S. is always a unique experience, however if you want to live a typical American holiday visit New England in autumn.

The New England region is located in the northeast U.S. coast along the Atlantic Ocean and is part of the 6 oldest states of the U.S. (Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Vermont, Connecticut and Rhode Island).

It's where Pilgrims, the first American settlers, landed during 1600.

If during your trip to the U.S. you happen to pass through New England in autumn, you'll see a wonderful natural phenomenon, called foliage. By October, in fact, the first frosts ting immense forests of the region of pastel colors, the leaves of maple trees become large red, yellow and purple, creating a unique and picturesque landscape.

It is ideal to pass through these states by car, so you can immerse yourself in local culture and to test the results of your English course. A trip to New England won’t be complete unless you visit the most beautiful and historically rich part of the East Coast, Plymouth Rock where the Mayflower landed, or Concord and Lexington, scenes of important Revolutionary War battles.

You will get to visit some of the places in the picture-postcards with scenery of the symbols of the East Coast, such as headlights that stand on the cliffs or rocky romantic bridges with covered interiors. The variety of landscapes in this region is amazing, you go from the wild and untamed coast, to the immense and sweet forests of maple. Another stop not to miss is the beautiful peninsula of Cape Cod, one of the most chic sceneries of the United States.

The starting point for this particular trip to the U.S. is Boston, the cradle of American culture, and, depending on the time available and your wishes you can decide to visit Portsmouth and Portland to the north, explore the beautiful countryside of Massachusetts, Or explore the city's south, Newport and New Haven.

The best time for a trip to the U.S., if you want to see New England in all its splendor, of course, is the autumn.

However, the spring and summer months are also very pleasant since they are mild and breezy. A winter trip should be avoided. The frequent snowfalls and freezing temperatures are not at all pleasant.
