Mt. Shasta, California and its MUST go - The Goat Tavern

Mount Shasta is a small mountain town nestled in Northern California roughly a 5 hour drive from San Francisco.

The town itself seems to only be about a 15 minute walk in any direction.

It's a super small little place with amazing food, super friendly people and great beer.

I was up up in Shasta for 24 hours and spent about 10 of them in this pub. They have the best soft shell crab blt I've ever tried in my life, and on a warm day I could have sat on the patio sipping beer all day and night.

Be warned- it is really small inside. Most of the seating is on the patio, so if you're there in the winter- well, bring a jacket...and maybe some mittens.
