Bali over Christmas? Don't Dare to Try!
If you are traveling to Bali try to avoid christmas time, otherwise you will get stuck in traffic jams most of the time!
We went there just after christmas and a taxi driver told me that a lot of people from the neighbouring island Java come over with a ferry - and all of them bring their cars.
He estimated that there is a 30% car increase!
We nearly missed our plane due to that because we got stuck in a traffic jam at 4am!
Also: Don't waste your time at this famous beach called "Dreamland". Nowadays it more looks like a nightmare.

I wouldn't reccomend staying in Kuta unless you are a hardcore surfer looking for easy access to the waves. Semenyak is close by and much nicer with less locals hassling you....
