Sun playing hide and seek with newly constructed 32 metre Maitreya Buddha statue and a buddhist monastery built in 14th century Diskit Gompa, sitting on a hill over shyok river in Nubra valley Ladakh, India.

The cold desert valley is connected to the outer world via Khardungla Pass, the Highest motorable road in the world, and was a door to central asia as part of ancient silk route.
