Indonesian Food, Selat Solo
This food is the result of acculturation between Javanese and the Dutch culture during colonial period centuries ago.
Javanese people call it "selat" but Dutch call it "salad". Different tongue, different spelling.
Basically this meal consists of beef, boiled potatoes, french fries, lettuce, carrots, green beans, tomatoes and onions doused with spicy sauce & home made mayonnaise.
You can find it in Solo / Surakarta Central Java Indonesia. It cost about Rp. 15.000,-.
So dont forget to try this unique dish when you visit Wonderful Indonesia.
