The award winning Mode Gakuen Cocoon Tower in Shinjuku Tokyo

The award winning Mode Gakuen Cocoon Tower, located in Shinjuku Tokyo was designed as part of a contest for a new building in Tokyo.

The only requirement for the contest was that the building not be rectangular. The Cocoon Tower houses three separate education facilities and the design is intended to symbolize a cocoon nurturing the students inside.
