Having 'lived' in Sydney for just over 2 months may not quite grant me the title of local just yet, but I'd like to think I've learnt a thing or two since my first week Down Under.
Known as the ‘Harbor City’, Sydney is a bustling metropolis, home to nearly five million residents, and sees more than 10 million visitors each year. Currently (as of 2015 data by The Economist), it's the seventh most liveable city in the world.
I love Sydney, it’s a beautiful city in one of the world’s most stunning locations... but that’s partly the reason I don’t want to live there. I don't want to become immune to my surroundings. I want to feel like a tourist each time I visit.
Fort Denison is a quick 5-minute water taxi ride from Circular Quay. En route, I captured this photo of a portion of the Sydney skyline.
