Suomenlinna Fortress is an island that sits in the bay just off Helsinki Finland. It is one of many islands just off Helsinki. When I say just off I mean a 15-minute ferry ride to dock at Suomenlinna. The Suomenlinna Fortress in its day would have sat in the bay as the protector of the city.
I arrived at the Helsinki ferry terminal about an hour before departure and was surprised to find so many people there on a Sunday morning. I had booked the two and a half hour trip as a walk-on passenger the day before for €44.
It's not just the Argentinans who love to tango. The Finnish have their own version of the melancholic, sultry dance and its music.
