Mardin is a historical city in Southeastern Anatolia, Turkey. A city situated on the top of a hill, it is known for its fascinating architecture consisting of heavily decorated stonework. Walk the alleys of old city to grab more of local atmosphere and architecture.
A bit of background, I was leading a hiking trip along the Aegean Coast and Cappadocia in May. Post tour my Turkish friend and I headed out for some quick research and development visiting Safranbolu (UNESCO Heritage Village) and then on to Amasra.
